Greetings from the Pastor:
Welcome to the Bethesda United Methodist Church website. Thank you for visiting us. “This is the day which the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24) “The Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power love and sound mind.” (I Timothy 1:7)
We are living in uncertain times and due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, that is sweeping across the nation we have suspended in-house worship services until further notice. However, we are asking you to join us on our Toll-Free Conference Call line for devotion and prayer every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM and for prayer every Wednesday evening at 6:15 PM. The new number is 1-952-222-1750. When prompted enter Pin#:7276286#. For the latest information concerning the United Methodist Church you may also check the website of the SC United Methodist Conference at http://www.umcsc.org. You will also find a daily prayer by Bishop Jonathan Holston on this website.
As we live during these uncertain times many of us have become fearful. Now is the time for us to remember, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (I Timothy 1:7) This is the time for us to be wise. This is the time for us to put our trust in God and to follow the guidelines our leaders have put in place, especially the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). We need to practice “Social Distancing” and use common sense as we make our day to day decisions.
We are asking our members to please remember to continue to support the church with your financial giving. At this time, you may give your tithes and offerings in  the following ways:
     (1) Mail your check to Bethesda United Methodist Church, P O Box 843, Kingstree, SC                         29556
